MobileBytes in Nashville – Recap of the RSPA RetailNOW 2018 Show

Last week was a whirlwind! As we mentioned in our previous post, MobileBytes attended the RSPA RetailNOW 2018 show at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center as a bronze sponsor. On Sunday, we assembled our team, packed our bags, flew to the famous Music City, and got to work.

When we arrived for setup, the show floor was an incredible place to be. Everywhere we looked, teams were rolling in materials, building platforms, and working hard to prepare for their booths for the hundreds of attendees expected over the next two days. The MobileBytes crew was no exception. From start to finish, we worked tirelessly to build Booth #310 to its full potential, complete with banners, a television monitor, and multiple iPad terminals to display MobileBytes POS, Guest Display, and Kiosk.

Shift4 hosted a party at the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Nashville on Sunday night which was a blast! Catching up with vendors and resellers with the city behind us was a great way to kick off the conference. Michael Tash, of Essential Systems Solutions, provided live music for the event with his Bad Influence Band. MobileBytes reseller by day, amazing guitar player by night! So cool!

Monday was the big day — Day 1 of the RetailNOW Show. We attended the General Session hosted by the new President and CEO of RSPA, John Kirk. Robyn Benincasa, the multi-talented inspirational speaker, dedicated to motivating top-industry leaders and companies to be their best, was, well… inspirational!

After the impressive keynote presentation, it was time to hit the show floor. Over the course of two open floor sessions spanning Monday and Tuesday, the MobileBytes booth received hundreds of guests. Current resellers, vendors, and companies interested in the latest in restaurant technology stopped by to learn all about MobileBytes.

We were fortunate to have been visited by some of our top resellers, who explained why they continue to work with MobileBytes.

“We’ve been deploying MobileBytes for about four years now. It’s a very intuitive product, “ said Louis Aurrichio, the technical service director at Cervion Systems. “We love how fresh and clean it is, and we love the MobileBytes team. They know what the industry wants, and their product works very well for our clientele.”

In addition to reconnecting with our current partners, we met with people who just came by to check out the buzz on MobileBytes. Our team provided demos and answered questions to the constant stream of guests who visited our booth.

Monday night was one we won’t soon forget, as we hosted the MobileBytes Reseller Appreciation Party at Honky Tonk Central in Nashville. Complete with delicious food and incredible live music, we were excited to have our partners come together for a fun night out on the town.

On Tuesday night, we attended the NextGEN Party hosted by Avero. Another excellent opportunity to mingle and discuss the latest trends in restaurant technology, it was an event that left us inspired and energized to keep moving forward.

All in all, we had four full days of non-stop excitement. From the show floor to the downtown scene, MobileBytes was there. There are so many people we would like to thank for such an unforgettable week, but we want to give a quick shoutout to RSPA for hosting the show and to all of our partners for their continued enthusiasm.

We can’t wait to see what next year has in store!
